Legendary boxing champion Mike Tyson and Carma HoldCo Inc. announced on Tuesday that they will debut of their Tyson 2.0 cannabis brand in New York via a partnership with Hudson Cannabis.
The December debut in New York follows Tyson 2.0’s launch in Montana via a collaboration with Yellowstoned. Now, Tyson 2.0 will offer a range of its cannabis products, including flower, pre-rolls, extracts and edibles at Hudson Cannabis partners across New York state.
Adam Wilks is co-founder and CEO of CarmaHold Co, a global branding and licensing company behind top weed brands run by celebrities like Hulk Hogan and the two-time Grammy winner and rapper Future. He spoke excusively with Benzinga about why they chose Hudson Cannabis for Tyson 2.0’s New York rollout and what it means to Tyson.
“Hudson Cannabis encapsulates the Tyson 2.0 vision with their sustainable growing practices and the overall attention to detail they put into each and every gram of cannabis they produce,” Wilks said. “Not only is it home to Mike himself, but New York is home to some of the greatest smokers on the planet, and we recognize the importance of having a partner that can support our ambitions as a team while keeping the customers coming back for more.”
Tyson 2.0 In Mike’s Home State
The heavyweight boxer is enthusiastic to share his products with his fellow New Yorkers.
"As a native New Yorker myself, I’m thrilled to bring Tyson 2.0 to my hometown," Tyson said. "This brand represents a culmination of my personal journey towards holistic well-being and my belief in the power of cannabis to promote a balanced lifestyle."
Wilks praised Tyson's ambitions to become a trailblazer and leave a lasting impact beyond the confines of the conventional cannabis market.
“The brand is truly an extension of Mike,” Wilks said. “He has experienced first-hand the positive benefits cannabis can have on an individual's mental and physical health.”
As the brand's founder, Tyson has made a career of cannabis use. Pro athletes and celebrities like world-renowned wrestler Ric Flair seem to be following Tyson's lead. Tyson 2.0 purchased the "Ric Flair Drip" in 2022 and the duo now works together to scale the brand. Tyson and Flair famously lit up on stage at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago in fall 2022.
Tyson has proudly admitted on several occasions that he smokes weed every day and that he wishes he’d consumed during his entire boxing career.
Wilks said Tyson “uses cannabis for its calming effects and to alleviate daily pains from various injuries he's incurred over the years.”

“At the end of the day all Tyson 2.0 products are personally tested and approved by Mike,” Wilks told Benzinga. “We actually went through a ton of iterations of his cookie product in order to get the taste right and Tyson approved.”
