PharmaCann Wins Rooster Food Fight for Best Edibles

PharmaCann is known for having some of the best edibles available. But where is the proof that this cannabis company is on top of its game, and how can it solidify itself as a leader in the industry?

Aside from continuing to make incredible edibles, PharmaCann had an opportunity to showcase its best work at the Rooster Food Fight this year.

The competition revealed that many companies are making delicious, inspired treats. It also showed that PharmaCann customers were right — this cannabis company has some of the finest cannabis products in Colorado.

Now, no one has to take your word for it with these official accolades from industry judges saying that PharmaCann is one of the best.

Rooster Food Fight 2023: The Best Cannabis Edibles on the Market

The Rooster Food Fight is an edibles competition where cannabis companies bring their best snacks, candies and consumables to be judged. These treats are scored on not only their taste but the effect and how good the high is. The idea is to award only the edibles that deliver on all three accounts.

With seven categories to examine, the judges consumed one edible per day to ensure they could provide a clear, unbiased score without the effects of other consumables potentially still lingering.

The Rooster Food Fight was open to the Colorado cannabis market — a highly competitive group made more competitive by their reputations being on the line.

PharmaCann came out with high marks. Not only did many of its products place within the top three, but one was named the grand champion of the event.

The Winners

Here are the PharmaCann winners from this year's food fight!

Category: Gummies

Product: matter. Lunaberry Gummy Bites

Place: 1st Place

This edible swept a category with fierce competition — best gummy. Its combination of THC, CBN, CBD and bright, juicy flavors of raspberry, blackberry and orange made it the one to beat. And now that the judging is over, it looks like this gummy is peerless, standing out among a sea of phenomenal gummy options.

Category: Sweet

Product: Full Melt Caramels

Place: 3rd Place

PharmaCann's Full Melt caramels took third place in the edible competition this year — an impressive feat considering how varied a category like sweets can be. They're loved for their simplicity — nothing says classic sweetness quite like a wrapped caramel, and there's no better way to enjoy it than with some THC added in.

Category: CBD & Hemp

Product: matter. Fusion Tangerine 1:1 Tinctures

Place: 3rd Place

This PharmaCann entry for the CBD & Hemp category is a tangerine-flavored tincture you can use to add a pop of CBD goodness to virtually anything.

The high ranking is thanks to its strong flavor profile, making it easy to match with anything that favors a citrus kick. You can even add some to your water or tea; it's delicious enough to make a difference without being so overpowering that it'll completely change a flavor profile.

Category: New Product

Product: matter. Kiwi Strawberry Bites

Place: 3rd Place

The Best New Product category was another exciting one to watch because of so many creative choices coming from Colorado cannabis companies.

PharmaCann again solidified itself as a company to watch with the new kiwi-strawberry gummy bites. These sour gummies are packed with flavor and just enough pucker to give you that punch of sourness you crave.

Category: Overall

Product: matter. Lunaberry Bites

Place: Grand Champion

The Lunaberry Bites didn't just dominate the gummy category — it was the grand champion of the entire event. Of all the edibles available, the judges agreed that these humble bites delivered the most flavor and just the right amount of sensation to be crowned the grand champion of the Rooster Food Fight.

Edibles Continue to Become More Mainstream

Edibles have become increasingly mainstream, surpassing their unshakeable image as being weed cookies you'd make at home and accidentally eat too much of. Now, companies are making sophisticated cannabis treats that take into account everything from texture to length of high.

Some cannabis companies spend much time and energy on branding, while others employ food scientists and chefs to help develop enticing flavors or unique sweets. Both indicate just how fast the demand for edibles is growing and how diverse the market is.

A once-maligned product has now officially gone mainstream, making its way into the pantries of many people across the U.S. Cannabis's legitimacy seems to have given it some breathing room under the pressure of society.

Edibles are also discreet. Finding a place to light a joint is challenging, but you can pop in an edible just about anywhere. And because the effects usually take time to sink in, it can be easier to plan your day around when the THC or CBD settles in.

Amounts are more precise and flexible, which can appeal to many consumers who plan to buy edibles but want to go slow. The market for people who enjoy light, fruit-flavored gummies is just as big as for those who want a highly concentrated tincture.

As edibles become more mainstream, packaging and marketing must keep up. Enticing a new wave of cannabis users is no small feat, so staying on top of trends and adapting to change is necessary.

It's about more than just creating packaging that speaks to new consumers. It's a genuine interest in creating high-quality products that cater to individual needs. Companies like PharmaCann focus on making delicious edibles that consumers can enjoy however they'd like.

The goal is to get everyone interested in edibles to see what kind of experiences they can unlock with the treats. Since that number seems to be growing exponentially, there's plenty of room for new and exciting consumables.

Market for Infused Products Projected to Grow

Data suggests that demand for edibles is towering over other products in the cannabis industry. National edible sales are increasing steadily, but one of the most exciting things is how that growth is facilitating the development of innovative products.

Gummies dominate the market. They're classic, and there's little chance they're going away anytime soon. Other edibles categories are growing in popularity. Consumers want to buy edibles like chocolates, beverages and more unique infused foods. The high demand for edibles has cannabis companies working on developing the next innovative consumables.

While the edibles market is growing more slowly than flower or vape pens, its sales are still in the billions of dollars. And if the Rooster Food Fight Edibles Competition indicates where edibles are heading, then they'll be around for years to come.

PharmaCann will continue to push the envelope in the cannabis-infused products industry in hopes that its edibles can better serve the Colorado communities.
