New York has kicked off 2024 strong with new marijuana stores launching sales statewide.
Last week Staten Island witnessed a historic event with the opening of The Flowery at 3022 Veterans Rd. W., the first adult-use cannabis store in the borough.
Simultaneously, PharmaCann, a privately held, vertically integrated cannabis company, announced it has started selling recreational cannabis at its Verilife dispensary in New York’s Capital Region at 10 Executive Park Drive in Albany.
NugHub NY, a cannabis delivery service, followed suit, officially kicking off operations this week. The new cannabis service, founded by Michael Gertelman, offers a blend of quality, convenience and community-focused services to Staten Island and Brooklyn, allowing customers to enjoy a wide range of products, including exclusive strains, edibles, tinctures, topicals, concentrates and various forms of flower in the comfort of their homes.
New Cannabis Storefronts In Five States And Canada
In the meantime, New York-based cannabis operator Acreage Holdings Inc ACRHF announced this week its relocating its third Connecticut location to the town of Vernon, where it will serve over 30,000 residents. Located at 234 Talcotville Road, The Botanist Vernon will sell medical cannabis.
On Sat., Jan. 27, NOXX Cannabis will hold the grand opening celebration of its East Peoria, Illinois-based dispensary. The new store at 300 S Main St. sells recreational cannabis.
Cannabis giant Verano Holdings Corp VRNOF on Friday held a ribbon-cutting event at the new Zen Leaf store at 1752 Old York Rd. in Abington, Pennsylvania. It's the company's largest dispensary to date nationwide and will offer medical cannabis.
Dazed Cannabis, the Black and veteran-owned cannabis brand, opened a cannabis shop at 399 Boston Rd. W. in Monson, Massachusetts. The new dispensary joins the brand’s Holyoke, Massachusetts, and Union Square, New York City locations.
Megan’s Organic Market, a wholesome cannabis storefront, opened in Goleta, California at 5999 Hollister Ave. last week.
Canadian cannabis retail giant High Tide Inc. HITI plans to kick off recreational cannabis sales at 118 Millennium Drive in Fort McMurray in Alberta this Saturday, Jan. 27. The move marks the company's 163rd Canna Cabana-branded retail cannabis location in Canada, the 79th in the province, and the first in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
