Florida's Cannabis Retail Footprint Grows As Rec Legalization Looms

As talks around possible recreational legalization heat up in Florida, several companies expanded their retail footprints statewide.

The proposed legalization amendment is backed by Smart & Safe Florida (SSF) and funded by cannabis retailer Trulieve Cannabis Corp. Located at 4940 Babcock Street NE, Trulieve Palm Bay is the company’s second dispensary dedicated solely to express pickup orders.

Trulieve’s founder and CEO Kim Rivers will be at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Florida along with dozens of other cannabis movers and shakers.

On March 1, RISE Dispensaries, a cannabis retail chain owned by Green Thumb Industries Inc. GTII GTBIF kicked off cannabis sales at its 15th retail location in the Sunshine State and 92nd nationwide. Located at 11192 N. Williams St., RISE Dispensary Dunnellon offers medical cannabis patients a range of high-quality THC and CBD products.
