Congressional candidate Abigail Diehl, born and raised in Maryland's 3rd District, is not just a familiar face; she’s a staunch advocate for local prosperity and national change.
Diehl, whose family has significantly contributed to Maryland’s agricultural and economic development for over half a century, is campaigning to bring her grassroots experience to Congress.
With a platform focused on enhancing agriculture, supporting small businesses and boosting education, she aims to lead initiatives vital for Maryland and the nation.
Bipartisan Approach For Progressive Change
During a recent interview at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Miami, Diehl expressed her dedication to a bipartisan political approach.
"It is time for a collaborative approach in our political system," Diehl stated, emphasizing her commitment to bridging political divides and working across party lines to foster substantial and sustainable progress.
A Proponent Of Medical Cannabis
Diehl's involvement in politics began with the inception of Maryland's medical cannabis program in 2016, where she worked closely with regulators and legislators to navigate the industry’s challenges. This experience deepened her understanding and expanded her nationwide network, giving her a comprehensive view of the cannabis industry's broader implications.
Critical Time In Political Campaign
As the Maryland primaries draw near and with early voting already underway, Diehl highlighted the urgency and significance of the upcoming elections.
"It is crunch time. We have 22 of us in this race, a very crowded field," she said. The primary winner in this Democratic stronghold will likely secure the general election, making this an especially pivotal time for her campaign.
A Call To Unity And Action
Diehl called for increased civic participation and a move toward political unity. "Everyone needs to be heard… I think we have to start working together to get things done," she said.
Diehl believes resolving simple problems can lead to significant improvements and is eager to bring her solutions to the forefront of her congressional campaign.
