Power Leaves Corp. (PLC) confirmed it had entered into a strategic partnership with Abstrax, a company focused on botanical flavor technology. The goal of this partnership, announced on Wednesday, is to tap into the potential of the coca leaf. The strategy relies on combining Abstrax’s product development capabilities and vast distribution network with PLC’s coca derivatives.
“This partnership with Abstrax is a monumental leap for both of our companies,” stated Pat McCutcheon, co-founder and CEO of PLC. “Our shared vision of innovation and quality will allow us to break new ground in the U.S. market. By tapping into Abstrax’s vast network and botanical expertise and leveraging our unique coca leaf derivatives, we are set to deliver transformative products to consumers.”
Since 2021, PLC has concentrated on coca leaf innovation, establishing and licensing the infrastructure to supply high-quality inputs to the food and beverage markets. With FDA and INVIMA (Colombian FDA) registrations, PLC is approved to export coca extracts globally.
