Zoe Wilder, an award-winning publicist for over two decades, carved a unique path becoming one of the most influential figures in the cannabis and psychedelic worlds. Her work is not just about promoting brands — it’s about reshaping the narrative around wellness, culture and acceptance.

Recognized for her groundbreaking contributions, Wilder’s expertise spans lifestyle, advocacy and business. As a speaker at the upcoming Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference on Oct. 8 and 9, she'll discuss the impact of cannabis on individuals and society.

A Lifelong Commitment to Cannabis Advocacy

Wilder's journey into the cannabis world started early. Raised in Atlanta, she grew up with a sense of openness around cannabis that many in her generation did not experience. Her mother's casual use of the plant normalized it for her, laying the groundwork for a lifetime of advocacy.

"My interest in advocacy started when I was growing up in Atlanta. My mother enjoyed cannabis openly and normalized the plant for me," Wilder said

She recalled attending 420 rallies in the mid-1990s, demonstrating her support for cannabis reform. "I've been promoting, researching and writing about the plant ever since."

Her deep-rooted connection to the movement has only intensified over the years. One of the highlights of her career, she noted, was supporting the release of Corvain Cooper, co-founder of 40 Tons, who had been serving a life sentence for a non-violent cannabis offense. "Supporting the 40 Tons team when Corvain was released from prison is a career highlight," she said.

Promoting Transparency in Cannabis Communication

As the cannabis industry grows, Wilder emphasized the importance of maintaining open and honest communication with the public. She sees this as essential for the industry’s continued success, especially in an environment still shaped by the legacy of prohibition.

"It's essential we communicate transparently and authentically with the public. The legacy of prohibition serves as a reminder of the pitfalls of misguided policies," she shared. "By fostering deeper connections between people and nature, we can enhance not only individual well-being but also contribute to the overall health of our planet."

Wilder's expertise in shaping public narratives extends beyond advocacy. Her work with Jim Belushi's cannabis brand, Belushi's Farm, has been instrumental in building the brand's visibility. Under her guidance, the company's products have expanded into 14 states.

Belushi praised Wilder's role, saying, "Zoe has been an integral part of the Belushi's Farm team and has grown with the brand since it was one farm in Oregon.” He continued, “Above all else, Zoe's spirit is the heartbeat of this endeavor. She righteously believes in the magic and the mission of the medicine and my personal quest to make it accepted and accessible for all those who could benefit from its power."

A Holistic Approach to Cannabis and Psychedelics

In addition to her cannabis work, Wilder ventured into the psychedelic space with her community, Liquid Culture. For her, these industries are more than businesses — they are tools for personal and societal wellness.

"It's essential to view these entities as communities rather than mere industries," Wilder said. She sees cannabis and psychedelics as connected, both offering pathways to healing and wellness when integrated within responsible, community-focused frameworks.

Through Liquid Culture, Wilder fosters connections between individuals and nature, promoting a deeper understanding of both cannabis and psychedelics. Her holistic view of these substances aligns with her mission of encouraging natural wellness and fostering meaningful community connections.

Driving Social Change Through Cannabis

Wilder's commitment to social justice runs deep. She says her involvement with the Last Prisoner Project and Success Centers shows her dedication to supporting marginalized communities. She sees cannabis as a potential driver of positive social change, particularly when it comes to fostering equitable opportunities.

"At its core, our focus should be on fostering community building and enhancing the strength and well-being of these communities," she said. "The progress we aspire to achieve can only be realized through genuine listening and a commitment to grassroots approaches that empower individuals and communities alike."

Wilder's voice in the cannabis industry resonates as she pushes for transparency, community building, and responsible communication. Her commitment to improving lives through natural wellness makes her an influential figure as both cannabis and psychedelics gain greater acceptance.
