Kroger And United Food Union Reach Agreement

Kroger Texas L.P., an affiliate of The Kroger Co. KR, and United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1000 have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, the company and the union said today. The tentative agreement covers over 8,000 Kroger associates who work in 87 stores in and around Dallas for Kroger Texas L.P. ("Kroger Southwest"). The union plans to call membership meetings to vote on the new contract on May 23 and 24. "The company and the union worked together to reach an agreement that is good for our associates, good for our customers and good for our company," said Bill Breetz, President of Kroger Southwest. "We look forward to continuing to provide quality jobs for our associates and a great shopping experience for our customers."
