Top Narrow Based Indexes For May 17 (PTV, VRAD, WLFC)

By 1:32 pm, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had dipped 90.28, or 0.85%, to 10,529.88, Nasdaq had lost 19.66, or 0.84%. Meanwhile the S&P 500 index had moved down 10.27, or 0.90%. Some of the few narrow based indexes that are driving the market are the Packaging and Container Stocks, which have gained 0.9%, Radiology Stocks, up 0.7%, and Airplane Leasing Stocks, moving 0.5% higher as a group. In Tickerspy's Packaging and Container complex, Pactiv Corporation Common Stock PTV has surged 16.7%. Apollo Management is planning to buy PTV. The best performing Tickerspy Radiology stock has been Virtual Radiologic Corporation VRAD, which was up 30.2%. Providence Equity Partners, a private equity firm, is planning to acquire VRAD for $294 million.
