AnnTaylor Stores Corporation reported that it swung to a 1st quarter net income of $22.6 million, or 38 cents per share, from a loss of $2.3 million, or 4 cents per share, a year earlier.
Same store sales rose 14.1%, leading to overall sales of $476.2 million.
According to a survey of analysts by Thomson Reuters, the average Wall Street estimate called for earnings of 35 cents per share, on sales of $475 million.
AnnTaylor Stores Corporation forecast 2nd quarter sales of $500 million and full-year sales in the range of $1.95 billion to $1.975 billion.
