Jones Soda Company JSDA climbed 19.81% to $1.25 by 12:47 pm. JSDA has recently struck a deal with Wal-Mart WMT to sell its products in the retailer giant’s nearly 3,800 US-based stores. The deal will enhance Jones' total retail outlet distribution by almost 10%. Birks & Mayors Inc BMJ soared 17.65% to $1.40. BMJ is the designer, developer, manufacturer and retailer of fine jewelry, time pieces, sterling silver and gifts in Canada and the southeastern US. ev3 Inc EVVV shares advanced 17.44% to $22.22. The vascular-treatment company EVVV has announced that it is going to be acquired by Covidien PLC COV for $2.6 billion in cash. WSP Holdings Ltd WH jumped 15.38% to $2.10.
