Monday Morning’s Options Volume Leaders (C, BAC, AAPL, BP, BMY, SPY, GS)

The overall market is struggling to find a direction this morning with the S&P 500 SPY trading above and below the unchanged mark for most of the morning trade. Stock futures were down during the Asian session, but regrouped and rallied to even before the open today. Interesting to note that Goldman Sachs GS and Apple Inc. AAPL have broken down technically over the past few days, which are bearish signs. Keep an eye on those stocks for a tip-off to the direction of the overall market. AAPL 96,435 contracts, 56.8% calls, 43.25 puts 4. BP PLC BP 63,738 contracts, 56.1% calls, 43.9% puts 5. Bristol Myers Squibb BMY 47,862 contracts, 72.2% calls, 27.8% puts BMY is higher by 7.89% today on positive result studies, upgrades, and takeover rumors. Benzinga highlighted call buying on the name on Friday; shares are higher by 6.60% since that call.
