Top Narrow Based Indexes For June 9 (RAX, PIR, VQ)

The market sentiment has turned positive after Fed chief Bernanke’s remarks. Till 12:49 pm, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 104.15, or 1.05%, to 10,044.13, the S&P 500 index moved up 12.33, or 1.16% and the NASDAQ added 31.06, or 1.43%. Some of the few narrow based indexes that are driving the market are the Data Centers, Colocation, and Content Distribution Network Stocks, which have gained 5.1%, Home Furnishing Retailer Stocks, up 4.9%, and Oil and Gas Driller Explorer Stocks, moving up 4.9% higher as a group. In Tickerspy's Data Centers, Colocation, and Content Distribution Network complex, Rackspace Hosting Inc RAX has surged 6.8%. Ingram Micro IM has announced collaboration with RAX. The best performing Tickerspy Home Furnishing Retailer stock has been Pier 1 Imports Inc PIR, which was up 7.5%. Analysts at Wedbush initiated coverage of PIR with an “outperform” rating. Venoco Inc VQ is today’s leading Tickerspy's Oil and Gas Driller Explorer stock, gaining 9%. VQ doesn’t expect any impact on the company's 2010 production forecast due to MMS moratorium.
