Stocks To Watch For July 8 (GBX, NUHC, EMC, AA)

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Wall Street expects The Greenbrier Companies GBX to post Q3 loss at $0.01 per share. GBX’s shares surged 7.47% to close at $10.79 yesterday. Analysts are expecting Nu Horizons Electronics Corp NUHC to have earned $0.06 per share in the first quarter. NUHC’s shares gained 1.32% to close at $3.06 yesterday. The analysts at Oppenheimer have upgraded EMC Corp EMC from “perform” to “outperform.” The upgrade in the rating was due to healthy demand for data storage systems. EMC’s shares moved up 0.58% to $19.22 in after-hours trading. Analyst Michael Gambardella of JP Morgan has lowered his earnings estimate for Alcoa AA. JP Morgan analyst now expects the company to earn $0.10 per share, down from the previous estimate of $0.15 per share. The estimate was lowered to reflect weaker-than-expected aluminum prices.
