Google Loses Market Share In June

Google GOOG, the largest U.S. provider of Internet search services, saw its share of the U.S. market slide to 62.6% in June, down from 63.7% in May, marking the fourth consecutive month of declines for the search giant. Google had 65.5% share in February, according to industry data group ComScore. Yahoo YHOO jumped to 18.9% share, up from 18.3% in May, according to Barron's. Microsoft's MSFT Bing saw its market share rise to 12.7% in June from 12.1% in May. The company has increased its share of the market in each of the last 13 months, up from 8.4% in June 2009, Barron's reported. Ask.com IACI saw its market share stay flat in June while AOL AOL saw a small decline.
