Knoll (KNL) Doubles Analyst Estimates

East Greenville, Pennsylvania based Knoll, Inc. KNL released financial results on Friday morning that far exceeded Wall Street earnings estimates. Knoll, Inc (KNL) reported that its 2nd quarter net income rose to $8.7 million, or 19 cents per share, up from $8.1 million, or 18 cents per share, a year earlier. Excluding special items, the office furniture maker reported earnings of 22 cents per share. Sales fell 5% to $192.3 million but came in well above analyst expectations. According to a poll of analysts by Thomson Reuters, the average Wall Street estimate called for earnings of 11 cents per share, on revenue of $177.8 million. Knoll, Inc designs, manufactures, and sells workplace furnishings, textiles, and fine leathers for the workplace and home. The company serves its North American clients through a network of more than 300 Knoll dealerships and 100 showrooms and regional offices, and has operations in Europe as well.
