Following its public IDO later this month on the SuperStarter platform, Virtue Poker will organize a charity poker tournament to support charitable efforts. Hall of Famer and Virtue Poker Team Pro, Phil Ivey, ConsenSys Founder and Ethereum Co-Founder, Joe Lubin, basketball veteran and NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce, and several other poker influencers, and celebrities from the crypto space will be testing their skills in a Texas Hold’em tournament.
The event will be broadcasted on Twitch and the participant’s individual channels, allowing the community to be part of this one-of-a-kind event. One of the standout attractions of the tournament is that the Twitch stream will include a featured player showing their cards to the viewers.
In addition to a star-studded charity tournament, VirtuePoker will also allow viewers to predict the tournament’s outcome and win exclusive prizes during the live stream. The platform will also select three eligible community members from SuperFarm, Virtue Poker, and Ethernity, offering them a chance to show their poker skills at the celebrity table.
“After working with the Virtue Poker team for over 3 years, I’m excited to see the platform launch and be part of their first live stream event on this innovative platform,” according to poker pro Phil Ivey.
Virtue Poker was incubated internally within ConsenSys in 2016. It has since completed multiple successful funding rounds, raising millions of dollars in funds from leading investors and VC firms, including Pantera Capital, Fenbushi Capital, DFG Group, Digital Strategies, Flurry Capital JRR, and more.
Over the years, Virtue Poker has proved itself as a community-centered platform using the funds to grow its player community and add more features to the platform. Moreover, it is one of the few poker platforms to have partnered with NFT companies to ensure the community gets access to rare collectibles during and after the upcoming event.
As the platform prepares for its mainnet launch and IDO, the charity poker tournament highlights its commitment towards society. Ryan Gittleson, CEO of Virtue Poker, mentioned, “Virtue Poker is excited to take this next step to drive awareness and adoption of the world’s first blockchain-based P2P poker platform. Through our partnership with SuperStarter and our execution of our Celebrity Poker Charity event, Virtue Poker will be able to grow our community’s foundation as well as showcase the platform to a broad audience.”
