The fusion of NFTs and gaming has led to a massive disruption of the crypto space, attracting millions of players and billions of dollars in volume and valuation. Crypto lovers are beginning to realize the potential of blockchain gaming, and developers are already building several games to meet the high demand and hype.
With the success of Axie Infinity, game developers are exploring numerous game genres, yet no one brings back memories like CryptoTanks. The CryptoTanks ecosystem combines play-to-earn, DeFi, NFTs, and maximum gaming entertainment.
Introducing CryptoTanks
OG gamers would remember the 8-bit games that took center stage in the '80s, played on Nintendo consoles. One of those games, Battle City, was a fan favorite that featured tanks, walls and fireworks. Although gaming studios eventually phased out 8-bit graphics, throwbacks would cause no harm, especially when crypto rewards, NFTs, and DeFi are in the mix.
CryptoTanks is a play-to-earn blockchain game built on Ethereum and Polygon that fuses NFTs, DeFi, and excellent gameplay to leave players wanting more. Modeled after the Battle City game, CryptoTanks takes it one step further by rewarding players for their time and performances with tokens, NFTs, and even more tokens. The game is a win-win situation for every gamer, which makes the prospects of playing even more attractive.
The CryptoTanks ecosystem features one in-game token, $TANK. All the in-game assets, Tanks and Maps, are NFTs built on ERC721. Players can also stake $TANK to earn more $TANKs, collect $TANK as the reward for winning battles, completing missions, and participating. $TANKs can be spent within the game's ecosystem.
Every time a tank NFT is traded on the marketplace, there will be a 3% fee which will be burned. This will make the token deflationary. Furthermore, the burn mechanism will also apply to the shop where users can upgrade or buy addons to their Tanks. With its unique game economics, CryptoTanks is poised to disrupt the blockchain gaming sphere.
How to Play CryptoTanks
Crypto and Tanks — gunfire, NFTs and tokens.
Stepping into the CryptoTanks ecosystem, players would need to acquire a Tank NFT to play. Tanks can either be bought on the in-game marketplace or rented from existing owners. Whichever way, buying a tank will cost a token fee, a small price to pay for the promise of so much more.
The game has 3 battle types: Rating battles, Token battles, and Money battles. In the Token battles, players will attempt to complete combat missions and finish quests to be rewarded with $TANK. The Rating battles are different, as the rewards are not issued in $TANK but Experience Points. Players can use these Experience Points to unlock new features for their Tanks, which they can then purchase with $TANK tokens. Rating battles help to improve the combat ability of the Tanks, and players can also gain experience and practice time.
The Money battles are straightforward brawls, free for all combats that reward the last survivors with $TANK. They are designed to follow a winner-takes-all format. Players will pool together a specified number of tokens and battle each other until one Tank emerges victorious. Money battles are the most rewarding battle type in CryptoTanks.
CryptoTanks also has two game modes to suit players' preferences. The One Against All mode is a single-player mode where Tanks do battle in a free-for-all that rewards the last Tank standing with $TANK tokens. The Teamplayer mode involves Tanks teaming up to battle one another. The winning team gets the rewards.
The Benefits CryptoTanks Players Will Enjoy
On CryptoTanks, players get rewards for playing, no matter the outcome of the game. Other benefits that players stand to enjoy on CryptoTanks include:
- Staking rewards: Gamers who stake their $TANK tokens will earn passive income in $TANK tokens, which they can use to upgrade their Tank NFTs and exchange to $TANK in the in-game economy.
- NFT Trading: The better the tanks, the more valuable they are. Players can upgrade the characteristics of their Tank NFTs to sell them for higher amounts in the marketplace. They can also earn rental commissions from renting out their tanks to other players.
- Play to earn: Every battle on CryptoTanks is an opportunity to earn $TANK or Experience Points. Players will have equal chances of earning maximally, and the game promises a unique experience for each Tank.
