Alex Salnikov Predicts A Web3 Future: 'The Digital World Is What Excites Me The Most'

Zinger Key Points
  • Rarible's Alex Salnikov believes Web3 will emerge “stronger than ever” from the bear market.
  • Rarible recently launched a new voting system using RARI tokens.

Alex Salnikov, co-founder and chief product officer of Rarible RARI/USD, is a particular kind of leader in Web3: one that sees the vision of digital ownership and already lives a Web3 lifestyle.

Salnikov will share his insights on digital ownership in a fireside chat at Benzinga’s Future of Crypto conference on Dec. 7 in New York City.

“The digital native world is what excites me most. I almost don't own any physical things. My laptop is my most expensive physical thing. But in the digital world. I have a warehouse with all sorts of things,” Salnikov said in an interview with Benzinga.

Salnikov is the co-founder of what is the No. 2 NFT marketplace, according to a recent Forbes article.

“For those that want access to a large network with solid connections, Rarible could be the best NFT marketplace. At the same time, it also still follows a decentralized mindset,” the article quoted Salnikov.

Supporting the decentralized nature of the Web3 future, Rarible’s DAO, the RARI Foundation recently introduced a new voting protocol based on RARI tokens on Twitter. This offers community-led decision-making rather than top-down centralized control over the development of the platform.

On Twitter, Sainkov shared "$RARI is entering a new era. RARI DAO voted on a new voting protocol based on staked $RARI (veRARI), alongside with the assembly of an independent RARI Foundation fully operated by veRARI holders. Why this is huge," with a thread that followed.
