Binance CEO and co-founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao said on Wednesday he was prepared to join Twitter's board of directors as a favor to Tesla Inc TSLA CEO Elon Musk, though he was already very busy with his cryptocurrency exchange.
“I’m indifferent to it. If I’m asked, I probably would do it just as a favor, but it’s not something I’m dying to do. I’m pretty busy with Binance already,” Zhao said at a Web Summit in Lisbon.
Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has already pumped in $500 million towards the acquisition of Twitter by Musk last week.
Zhao Seeks A Deeper Integration Of Binance With Twitter
Initially seeking to give crypto “a seat at the table,” Zhao now intends a deeper integration of Binance with the social networking giant.
“It’s very easy to support a dozen, a couple of hundred cryptocurrencies as payments. We already have a solution that does that: Binance Pay,” Zhao said, who noted the service allows customers to pay businesses in any cryptocurrency, currency or the fiat currency they prefer with Binance managing the conversion to the chosen currency of the business at "no extra charge."

Binance Has The Tech Needed To Scale Up Twitter, Says Zhao
Twitter is something Binance wants to be "supportive on everything that has to do with crypto or Web3," said Zhao, who added that Binance was prepared to assist because it has all the necessary technologies, expertise and products.
Musk and Zhao have not yet had a face-to-face meeting, Zhao continued, "because of COVID and everything; he's busy, I'm busy."
He remarked that socializing with the Tesla CEO "might not be the most time-efficient thing."
Zhao said he has yet to talk to Musk about his detailed plans for Twitter, even though Musk "did mention about Dogecoin DOGE/USD, charging for tweets, charging for comments, charging for the blue tick. I think all of those things are coming.”
