David Johansson, CEO of Seascapes, hosted a discussion at Benzinga’s Future of Crypto event about ‘The Status of Venture Funding In Crypto and Web3’. The panel discussed that last year the rush to invest in Web3 was unprecedented because so many investors were afraid of missing out on opportunities.

In 2022, investors have been far more selective and have done their due diligence; the landscape has shifted dramatically to more calculated and conscious venture funding. Some panel members believe that next year will be the year of value-added services that ultimately help to stabilize the market. One example that was brought up was companies that focus on security in Web3.
