Drake Wins Over $1.2M In Bitcoin After Betting On Kansas City Chiefs To Win Super Bowl

Canadian rapper Aubrey Drake Graham, better known as Drake, won $1.26 million worth of Bitcoin BTC/USD after the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII against Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.

What Happened: Drake made a bet on the Kansas City Chiefs, wagering $700,000 worth of BTC. His investment paid off, resulting in a win of $777,000 in BTC.

Drake placed a second bet, staking $50,000 worth BTC on Patrick Mahomes scoring a touchdown – a prediction that earned Drake $700,000. 

He doubled down later in the game, putting $215,000 in BTC on predictions that JuJu Smith-Schuster will score a touchdown, Kansas City Chiefs will win both halves and each quarter, and Travis Kelce will become MVP. Although those bets turned out unsuccessful, his total profit reached $1.2 million.

Meanwhile, fans watching Super Bowl LVII were not exposed to any advertising campaigns from crypto companies.
