Now That Crypto Bro Do Kwon Is Out On Bail — Here's A Reminder Of The Fiery Roasting He Received At ETHDenver

Zinger Key Points
  • Montenegro has approved the proposed bail terms for Do Kwon, who faced a criminal charge of document forgery.
  • The song lambasted FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried, Kwon and Alex Mashinsky, founder of Celsius Network.

Despite the release of Terraform Labs LUNA/USD co-founder Do Kwon and former CFO Han Chong-joon from a Montenegrin jail last week, it is unlikely to alter the negative perception held by many in the crypto community about the pair and their purported involvement in the Terra Luna crash.

Earlier this year, the official opening ceremony at ETHDenver on March 3 featured a rendition of a song poking fun at Kwon and other crypto honchos.

What Happened: Alex Lebed, who attended ETHDenver, took to Twitter and shared the song played at the official ceremony.

The song lambasted FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried, Kwon and Alex Mashinsky, founder of Celsius Network. These projects have since been declared defunct and some of their founders are now facing criminal charges.

“F**k SBF, Kyle, Su Zhu, Do Kwon and Mashinsky,” the lyrics of the song read.

The song was sung by Gabriel Haines, Jonathan , popularly known as ‘Songadaymann’ and Leah Lamarr.

“The bear market is on you, in the next bull market we promise not to use centralized exchanges, run by these toxic dudes,” the lyrics read.

Why It Matters: This comes as Montenegro has approved the proposed bail terms for Kwon, who faced a criminal charge of document forgery under Montenegrin law. The court has officially accepted the offer of 400,000 euros ($436,000) each for Kwon and Chang-Joon, as well as putting them under house arrest instead of being taken into custody.

ETHDenver is a community-owned festival that runs Ethereum ETH/USD ‘BUIDLathon’. Global teams are competing for $3 million plus prizes, bounties and investments from Feb. 24 to March 5 in Denver, Colorado.

Price Action: At the time of writing, ETH was trading at $1,828.72, up 1.7% in the last 24 hours, according to Benzinga Pro data.
