'Criminal' Trump NFT Cards Cash In On Former President's Arrest

A new NFT collection centering around former President Donald Trump is generating buzz amid his recent indictment on 34 felony counts.

What Happened: The collection features Trump in prison attire, swapping heroic undertones for iron bars and jumpsuits. This portrayal is in stark contrast to the NFT collection that Trump endorsed, which features him as a superhero.

The collection is called ‘Trump Criminals Trading Cards', which appears to be an unlicensed knockoff of Trump Digital Trading Cards NFT collection, which was released in December and featured 45,000 NFTs, sold for $99 each. The current floor price stands at $0.447 Ethereum ETH/USD

The total supply of the NFT collection has been limited to 945. Furthermore, in the last 24 hours, the NFTs saw 28 sales, as per Nansen data analytics.

This comes as Trump turned himself into a New York court Tuesday, marking the first time in U.S. history that a former president has been arrested and faced with criminal charges.

Price Action: ETH was trading at $1,912 up 5.70% in the last 24 hours, according to Benzinga Pro.
