Bitcoin BTC/USD moved lower, with the cryptocurrency prices trading below the key $28,000 level on Thursday.
Ethereum ETH/USD also traded lower, but remained above the key $1,800 mark this morning.
Producer prices for final demand rose 0.2% month-over-month in April versus a revised 0.4% decline in the prior month. U.S. initial jobless claims rose by 22,000 to 264,000 in the week ending May 6, above market estimates of 245,000.
UNUS SED LEO LEO/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Pepe PEPE/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.13 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 2.6%. BTC was trading lower by 2.9% at $27,361 while ETH rose by around 3.1% to $1,817 on Thursday.
