The cryptocurrency XRP Token XRP/USD from Ripple soared on Thursday after a U.S. judge issued a favorable ruling in a case dating back to 2020.
Here’s a look at how much an investment in the cryptocurrency today will be worth if XRP returns to all-time highs.
Landmark Court Ruling For Crypto Sector: U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres determined that the sale of the XRP token by Ripple is not an offer of “investment contracts.” Ripple previously spent a significant amount of money fighting claims brought on by the SEC that XRP was a security.
Ripple and the broader cryptocurrency community celebrated the landmark ruling from the judge that comes at a time that the SEC has labeled several cryptocurrencies as potential securities.
This development prompted various cryptocurrency platforms, such as Coinbase Global Inc COIN, to consider reinstating XRP as a tradable cryptocurrency for their investors and traders.
The ruling sent XRP significantly higher, and many other cryptocurrencies saw large gains on Thursday on the back of the judge’s decision.

Investing $100 in XRP Today: The XRP token traded between $0.3134 and $0.8875 on Thursday, setting new 52-week highs.
Despite the sharp increase and volume gains, the cryptocurrency still trades far off from its all-time highs.
XRP hit an all-time high of $3.84 on June 4, 2018.
At the time of writing, XRP trades at $0.7766. Based on this price, a $100 investment could purchase 128.77 XRP.
If XRP returns to an all-time high of $3.84 set in 2018, the $100 investment would be worth $494.48. This represents a potential gain of 394.5%.
There is no guarantee that the XRP Token will return to its all-time highs.
The hypothetical investment shows that a small investment could gain over time if the cryptocurrency market returns to its high mark.
