Bitcoin, Ethereum Record Gains Following Jobless Claims Data; Bone ShibaSwap Emerges As Top Gainer

Bitcoin BTC/USD moved higher, with the cryptocurrency prices trading above the $26,000 level on Thursday.

Ethereum ETH/USD, also recorded gains, trading above the key $1,600 mark this morning.

U.S. initial jobless claims fell by 10,000 from the previous week’s revised reading to 230,000 in the week ending Aug. 19, compared to market estimates of 240,000.

Bone ShibaSwap BONE/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Monero XMR/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.06 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 1.6%. BTC was trading higher by 1.9% at $26,388 while ETH rose by around 1.6% to $1,667 on Thursday.
