Babylon Bee author Ashley St. Clair on Tuesday declared herself a fan of Dogecoin DOGE/USD, a meme-inspired cryptocurrency.
What Happened: During a Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter), St. Clair was asked about her affinity for Dogecoin, to which she enthusiastically responded, “Dogecoin to the moon.”
St. Clair’s endorsement of Dogecoin adds to the growing list of high-profile figures who have shown interest in the cryptocurrency.
Notably, in November 2022, Elon Musk, made remarks regarding Dogecoin that led to a spike in its price. He said “Dogecoin To The Moon” during a Twitter Spaces session in 2022.
In 2021, billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban expressed his affinity for Dogecoin through a tweet. He stated, “If I had to choose between buying a lottery ticket and #Dogecoin…I would buy #Dogecoin.”

Why It Matters: In addition to her involvement with Babylon Bee, St. Clair collaborated with children’s publisher Brave Books to release her first joint publication in July 2021. The book titled “Elephants Are Not Birds” espouses Christian values and challenges the concept of gender identity. By utilizing metaphors of elephants and birds, the book aims to convey the message to children that boys are not girls.
However, St. Clair’s stance on gender identity has drawn criticism and opposition from allies and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community. Many argued that her views in the book undermine the rights and well-being of transgender individuals.
Price Action: At the time of writing, DOGE was trading at $0.063, up 0.68% in the last 24 hours, according to Benzinga Pro.
