Bitcoin BTC/USD moved higher, with the cryptocurrency prices trading above the $27,000 level on Wednesday.
Ethereum ETH/USD, also recorded gains, trading above the key $1,700 mark this morning.
The U.S. economy expanded at an annualized pace of 2.1% in the second quarter of 2023, versus the preliminary reading of 2.4% and compared to the first quarter's growth of 2.0% Private businesses in the U.S. added 177,000 workers in August, missing market estimates of a 195,000 rise and compared to a revised 371,000 gain in July.
Stacks STX/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Astar ASTR/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.09 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 4.4%. BTC was trading higher by 5.4% at $27,422 while ETH rose by around 4.8% to $1,721 on Wednesday.
