Bitcoin Falls Below This Key Level Following Jobs Data; KuCoin Token Becomes Top Loser

Bitcoin BTC/USD moved lower, with the cryptocurrency prices falling below the $26,000 level on Friday.

Ethereum ETH/USD, also recorded losses, trading below the key $1,700 mark this morning.

The U.S. economy added 187,000 jobs in August versus the downwardly revised 157,000 increase in July and compared to market expectations of 170,000. The unemployment rate increased to 3.8% in August from 3.5% in July.

Toncoin TON/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while KuCoin Token KCS/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.05 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 3.6%. BTC was trading lower by 4.6% at $25,986 while ETH fell by around 3.8% to $1,641 on Friday.
