Bitcoin BTC/USD traded slightly lower, but the cryptocurrency prices traded above the $34,000 level on Thursday.
Ethereum ETH/USD, meanwhile, moved higher, trading above the key $1,800 mark this morning.
Gala GALA/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Solana SOL/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.
The U.S. economy grew an annualized 4.9% in the third quarter, higher than market expectations of 4.3% and compared to a 2.1% growth in the second quarter. U.S. initial jobless claims increased by 10,000 to 210,000 in the week ending Oct. 21, above market estimates of 208,000.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.27 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 0.6%. BTC was trading lower by 0.1% at $34,321 while ETH rose by around 2% to $1,822 on Thursday.
