Dogecoin Co-Creator Thinks Javier Milei Is Cool And 'DOGE Father' Musk Believes 'Prosperity Is Ahead' For Argentina

Elon Musk believes “prosperity is ahead” for Argentina after Bitcoin BTC/USD friendly candidate Javier Milei officially won Argentina’s presidential election, outpacing rival candidate Sergio Massa by a margin of 2,786,457 votes.

What Happened: Musk, who is also known as Dogecoin DOGE/USD father said on X, "Prosperity is ahead for Argentina” in response to a post that showed Milei behind a Gadsden flag.

DOGE co-founder Billy Markus, popularly known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto responded to a tweet and said "this guy seems cool."

Why It Matters: Milei, whose stance on economic policies and governmental structures has been unapologetically candid, has frequently voiced his disapproval of the central banking system. Milei said, “The central bank is a scam, a mechanism by which politicians cheat the good people with inflationary tax.”

After that, he said BTC “represents the return of money to its original creator, the private sector," and that “it prevents politicians from robbing you through inflation.”

The president-elect’s critique of traditional financial mechanisms found a flamboyant display when he was televised battering a piñata symbolizing a central bank.

Milei’s political convictions align strongly with liberal libertarianism, favoring both minarchism and anarcho-capitalism within this spectrum. Libertarians are often associated with the Gadsden flag.

Price Action: At the time of writing, DOGE was trading at $0.079, up 2% in the last 24 hours according to Benzinga Pro.
