Morpheus, a platform focused on launching Smart Agents, has introduced a $10 million rewards program in its native MOR token specifically designed for its community of builders.
This initiative, which went live on the Base network, follows a similar rewards program for AI Compute Providers, a step forward in Morpheus’ ongoing strategy to develop an economic ecosystem for decentralized AI.
The move is aimed at attracting developers to build and contribute to the platform, particularly in the rapidly growing field of AI agents.
The builder rewards program incentivizes developers to create various components for the Morpheus platform, including Smart Agents themselves, user interfaces, decentralized applications (dApps), and other tools.
This structure is intended to encourage a vibrant and multifaceted ecosystem that supports all aspects of agent creation and deployment.
Morpheus is positioning itself as an all-in-one platform, emphasizing its ability to offer developers access to funding, computation, and streamlined agent deployment, aiming to provide an advantage over other projects that only focus on a single area.
Central to Morpheus’ system is its four-pronged approach, which recognizes contributions from code, capital, compute and builders.

The rewards system seeks to compensate all participants equitably in MOR tokens, promoting a self-sustaining ecosystem.
Moreover, holders of the MOR token are entitled to a share of the network's compute power, allowing agents continuous access to resources.
The tokenomics of the network is designed to support the development of decentralized AI applications, with the long term goal of fostering a broad community around the project.
According to Morpheus open-source contributor David Johnston, this launch positions Morpheus at the forefront of the current AI agent expansion, welcoming agents from diverse chains and frameworks.
This is intended to be a move towards a more universal platform for AI agent creation.
The underlying incentive is that this allows compute and builder tokenomics to work together efficiently to reward developers fairly and in a permissionless fashion.
Morpheus operates as a decentralized AI network that optimizes the use of computational power.
It offers users a ChatGPT-like interface that allows interaction via decentralized data routing.
The network also provides access to personal AIs, facilitates crypto payments for AI services, features an AI marketplace, and allows for generating images via multiple Large Language Models (LLMs).
The platform is supported by an open-source community, as well as partnerships with projects like Lumerin.
The core of the offering is that it provides a wide ranging set of tools to work within this decentralized AI ecosystem.
