As the Holiday season rolls around, deciding on a gift for friends and family can be a stressful experience. Everyone has that person in their life that is a pain to shop for. Figuring out what they want seems to require a trip to the ancient Greek town of Delphi or a quick read of the tea leaves.

Whether they are a movie buff or a Beetles Maniac, a new speaker system could be a win. The question becomes: Which one? What brand? There are so many to choose from and the process can quickly become overwhelming. Sony Group Corp. SONY, Beats (now owned by Apple Inc. AAPL), Sonos Inc. SONO — how to choose?

The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) is a trade association representing 60 high-resolution wireless audio brands. The organization reportedly prides itself on only representing high-quality audio equipment, and that has become apparent as the brands under its wing continue to win awards and find themselves on best-of lists. Here are a few examples:

Home Theater: Platin Audio

Platin Audio has received praise for several of its models over the past year. Rolling Stone named its Milan system as the Best Home Theater System of the year. “Platin’s Milan Home Theater System is a complete, audiophile-grade home theater system that’s easy to set up and use,” the magazine wrote. “Platin’s speakers pack a punch for their compact size, and never go out of sync, which is a nice surprise for a totally wireless audio system. Equally impressive is this system’s support for Dolby Atmos, which you won’t find in similar home theater setups.”

TechnologyX.com, known for its audiophile reviews, gave Platin’s Monaco system a glowing review, calling the speakers “wireless 5.1 home cinema at its best.”

Audio Transmitter: SoundSend

The WiSA SoundSend connects to your TV through a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) and broadcasts audio to any WiSA speakers in the room. The device was named a 2021 CES Innovation Award honoree in its category.

The product also was recognized at the Dealerscope Impact Awards and Twice Picks Awards.

Speakers: System Audio

System Audio’s SA Legend 5 Silverback won the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) Best Product Award.

WiSA represents 60 brands with products that it reports are all of comparable quality to the numerous award winners. If you’re interested in learning more about its products, check out its website here.
