Analog Devices Boosts Production Footprint In Ireland, Projects Tripling Of European Wafer Production Capacity

  • Analog Devices Inc ADI disclosed an investment of €630 million to construct a research & development and manufacturing facility in Ireland
  • The new 45,000 sq-ft facility, located at its European regional headquarters, will support the innovation of next-generation signal processing to drive digital transformation across several sectors such as Automotive, Industrial and Healthcare. 
  • ADI expects its European wafer production capacity to triple and boost the workforce in Ireland by 600. The investment is part of Ireland's first Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) initiative.
  • "Since 1976, Ireland has been a critical innovation center for ADI, thanks to its strong academic and research organizations, business ecosystem, and progressive government leadership. This next-generation semiconductor manufacturing facility and expanded R&D team will further extend ADI Limerick's global influence," commented Vincent Roche, CEO and Chair. 
  • Price Action: ADI shares closed lower by 0.01% at $180.57 on Friday.
