- During his 20-minute speech, the Warner Bros. chief was attacked with brutal comments like “Shut up, Zaslav,” “We don’t want you here,” and “Pay your writers.”
- The incident occurred amid an ongoing strike in Hollywood by film and television writers over pay and minimum wage.

- Zaslav was repeatedly disrupted and had to stop his speech seldom until the waves of cries temporarily died down.

- “I am immensely supportive of writers and hope the strike is resolved soon and in a way that they feel recognizes their value,” Zaslav said to The Hollywood Reporter.
