Boeing To Bag New Order For Long-Haul Jets From Emirates: Report

  • Boeing Company BA will reportedly get orders for long-haul jets like 777X, or 787 from Emirates, as the Dubai-based carrier sees demand through 2030.
  • Emirates may also order from Airbus SE EADSY an Airbus 350 to cater to the demand, Reuters reported, citing a statement from Emirates President Tim Clark. 
  • Speaking in Istanbul on Tuesday, Clark said he was "perhaps a little more confident" in Boeing's ability to get the new aircraft out, the report added.
  • Emirates will receive the delivery of the first aircraft in the last quarter of 2025.

  • Earlier in 2019, Emirates reduced its order for 150 777X to 126 jets as part of a deal that saw the airline order 30 787 Dreamliners, the report added.
