Boeing Company BA has received an order for 290 new Boeing jets and expanded services from Air India at the 2023 Paris Air Show. The financial terms were not disclosed.
The order includes 190 737 MAXs, 20 787 Dreamliners, and ten 777X jets with options for 50 737 MAXs and 20 787 Dreamliners.
The contract is Boeing's largest order in South Asia and highlights its 90-year partnership with Air India.
The company has recently received an order for eight 787-9 Dreamliners from China Airlines.

"We greatly appreciate Air India's confidence in our products and services," said Stephanie Pope, president and chief executive officer of Boeing Global Services.
The companies announced in February that Air India had selected these Boeing models to serve its strategy for sustainable growth.
"Our relationship with Boeing includes both airplanes and services, that will support our requirements for fleet expansion and continuous improvement in operational efficiency for decades to come," said Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD, Air India.

Price Action: BA shares are trading down by 3.38% to $212.57 on the last check Tuesday.
