Optex Systems Bags $3M Laser Interference Filter Contract

Optex Systems Holdings Inc OPXS has secured a delivery order from the U.S. Government for Laser Interference Filter (LIF) assemblies for $3 million.

The LIF is critical in protecting Night Vision Goggle systems fielded by the U.S. Military.

The products will be manufactured at the Applied Optics Center (AOC) Division of Optex.

With this order, the current Optex backlog is in excess of $40.5 million.

"Production processes related to manufacturing LIF assemblies have continually been improved by the employees of Applied Optics Center and this is a big factor in why we are able to outperform and outprice the competition on these critical optical components,” said Bill Bates, GM, AOC.

Price Action: OPXS shares are trading higher by 2.35% at $3.49 in premarket on the last check Wednesday.
