HCA Healthcare Reports Patient Data Leak Incident

HCA Healthcare, Inc. HCA disclosed Monday that certain patient-related information had been leaked by an unknown and unauthorized party on an online forum.

The list includes patient name, address, email, telephone number, date of birth, gender, patient service date, location, and subsequent appointment date.

However, the leaked data did not include payment and clinical information.

This appears to be a theft from an external storage location exclusively used to automate the formatting of email messages.
