Volkswagen AG VWAGY handed over 321,600 all-electric vehicles (BEVs) to customers in the first half of the year, up 48% year over year.
Around 68% of the Group's BEV deliveries were in its home region of Europe, followed by China with 19% and the USA with 9%. The remaining 4% went to other markets.
HI Deliveries By Country
In the USA, deliveries increased by 76% to 29,800 vehicles.
In China, deliveries were around 2% below the previous year's level at 62,400 BEVs, dragged by the competitive market environment.

In Europe, the automaker led the market in the BEV segment, with deliveries increasing by 68% to 217,100 vehicles.
"In view of the recent significant reduction in delivery times, we expect this positive trend to continue in the coming months," said Hildegard Wortmann, member of the Group's Extended Executive Committee for Sales.
2Q Deliveries
In the second quarter, deliveries increased by 53% to 180,600 vehicles worldwide, and the BEV share of total deliveries rose to 7.7%.
Following a lower first quarter, 18% more BEVs were handed over to customers in China in the second quarter than in the prior-year period.
Price Action: VWAGY shares were up by 0.52% to $17.24 on Thursday.
