Delta Air Lines, Inc. DAL has reportedly revamped the radio altimeters in its in-service airplane fleet to manage the potential 5G C-Band interference.
Delta said all airplanes in service have been updated, while a few aircraft are out of service for maintenance and will be equipped as they return, Reuters reported.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg cautioned in June that airlines could face impediments in bad climate if they had not updated airplanes ahead of a July 1 deadline, the report noted.
