Uber Technologies, Inc. UBER inked a pact with office supply retail company Staples to bring business, office, and school essentials to customers across the U.S.
Nearly 1,000 Staples locations are now available to shop on demand through the Uber Eats platform.
Expanding its horizons in 2023, Uber isn't just about rides anymore; it's diving deep into retail, bringing specialty groceries, pet goodies, and more right to the doorstep.
From paper, ink and toner, to backpacks, pens, folders and more, Uber Eats consumers can shop for thousands of items for scheduled or on-demand delivery.
"Back to school and back to the office, can make September one of the busiest months of the year, and Staples has the solution to so many household challenges," said Christian Freese, Uber's Head of Grocery and New Verticals across the US & Canada.
The latest development follows Uber's latest collaboration with Oracle Corporation ORCL.
Uber and Oracle announced a new offering called Collect and Receive, which connects retailers and consumers to enhance last-mile delivery.
The company was recently in the headlines after becoming the official on-demand delivery partner and official rideshare partner of the National Footbal League.
