Oracle Corp ORCL, in collaboration with Teléfonos de México (TELMEX-Triara), disclosed the opening of a second Oracle Cloud Region in Monterrey, Mexico.
With the launch in the 46th region, the company continues expanding its cloud region footprint globally. Oracle Cloud is in several major countries across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe.
The company became the only hyperscaler having two cloud regions in the country, broadening access and offering greater resiliency.
The partnership aims to accelerate cloud adoption across Mexico and offers organizations access to a vast range of cloud services to modernize their applications and migrate mission-critical workloads from their data centers to OCI.
"Becoming the first hyperscale cloud provider to open two regions in Mexico is a testament to Oracle's commitment to delivering innovative cloud infrastructure services across the country. By extending our strategic alliance with TELMEX-Triara, we will be able to jointly help public and private organizations leverage the high performance, flexibility, and scalability of OCI. As a result, customers across the region will be able to harness the value of technologies such as generative AI and machine learning to grow their businesses," stated Maribel Dos Santos, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Mexico.
