IT Company Accenture Strengthens Foothold In Japan, Buys Integrated Marketing Firm

Accenture PLC ACN disclosed the acquisition of an integrated marketing firm, SIGNAL, in Tokyo, Japan, for an undisclosed amount.

The buyout will boost Accenture's capability to aid clients in marketing transformation across owned, paid, and earned media.

VECTOR, a PR group in Japan, previously owned SIGNAL. The acquisition will add 100 industry experts to Accenture's marketing operations team in Japan to enhance experience across all channels and boost marketing investments.

"SIGNAL's high level of expertise in the marketing domain is wide-ranging, spanning in the areas of PR, marketing, and communication, together we will enhance our ability to create growth through relevance, accelerate our client's enterprise-wide transformation, building a solid competitive advantage in the market," stated Atsushi Egawa, who leads Accenture's business in Japan.

Last week, Accenture reported Q4 revenue growth of 4% Y/Y to $15.98 billion, missing the consensus of $16.07 billion and adjusted EPS of $2.71, beating the consensus of $2.66
