Archer Aviation Spreads Its Wings: Teams Up With InterGlobe For Electric Air Taxi Launch In India By 2026

Archer Aviation Inc. ACHR inked a memorandum of understanding with InterGlobe Enterprises to launch and operate an all-electric air taxi service in India in 2026.

Under the deal, the company aims to provide a revolutionary transportation solution for the country, improving urban mobility with a safe, sustainable, and low-noise electric air taxi service that is cost-competitive with ground transportation.

The partnership also plans to finance the purchase of up to 200 of Archer's Midnight aircraft for the India operations.

"Archer's all-electric Midnight aircraft is designed to provide a revolutionary transportation solution that can help address these congestion issues," commented Archer's CEO and Founder, Adam Goldstein. 

The parties plan to collaborate with chosen business partners within the country to manage the operations of Archer's aircraft, fund and construct vertiport infrastructure, and provide training for pilots and other essential personnel for these activities.

In addition to urban air taxi services, the parties plan to pursue various other use cases for electric aircraft in India, including cargo, logistics, medical and emergency services, private companies, and charter services.

Price Action: ACHR shares are trading higher by 1.73% to $5.30 premarket on the last check Thursday.
