Google's Gemini AI Revolutionizes Samsung Galaxy S24: A Stellar Leap In AI Technology?

Zinger Key Points
  • Samsung Galaxy S24 to utilize Google's Gemini AI for groundbreaking AI capabilities and enhanced user experiences.
  • Gemini Nano, Google's efficient model, embedded in Galaxy S24, ensures on-device tasks without compromising data security.

Alphabet Inc. GOOG GOOGL said the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series of Samsung Electronics Co’s SSNLF SSNGY will use Gemini foundational models to power the next generation of AI capabilities.

Galaxy S24 series will also come built-in with Gemini Nano, the most efficient model for on-device tasks, to enable a new feature in Google Messages and ensure data doesn’t leave smartphone.

Additionally, Samsung will be one of the first partners to test Gemini Ultra, the company’s “largest model” for highly complex tasks, before it is available broadly to developers and enterprise customers later this year.

Starting January 31, owners of smartphones like Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and the latest Samsung Galaxy S24 series can enjoy multisearch with gestures seamlessly, eliminating the need to switch between apps, as announced by the Alphabet-owned company during the Samsung Electronics Unpacked event, Reuters reported.

Google, headquartered in Mountain View, California, predominantly earns revenue from the online search sector. Over the last year, it has engaged in competition with Microsoft Corporation MSFT in the field of generative artificial intelligence (AI), the report read.

The newly introduced multisearch feature can be accessed through the lens camera icon in the Google app, available for both Android and iOS, it added.

The tech giant was recently in the headlines for downsizing ad sales team as part of Alphabet’s broader job cuts, pivoting towards AI and automation for efficiency.

Price Action: GOOG shares are trading lower by 1.18% to $142.38 on the last check Wednesday.
