BYD Co., Ltd. BYDDF BYDDY has reportedly achieved a milestone with cumulative sales of its Yuan family models surpassing 1 million units, marking the latest success in its model lineup.
The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) leader announced the achievement yesterday, CnEV Post reported. Earlier, BYD’s Song and Qin families had also reached this milestone.

The Yuan family comprises the Yuan Up, Yuan Plus, and Yuan Pro, all SUVs within BYD’s Dynasty lineup. Another notable model lineup from BYD is the Ocean series.
The Yuan Up, launched on March 26, is available in three variants priced at RMB96,800, RMB109,800, and RMB119,800 respectively.
The Yuan family models sold 428,580 vehicles in 2023, making up 14.17% of BYD’s annual sales, per CnEVPost data.
From January to May this year, the Yuan family models sold 134,392 vehicles, comprising 10.57% of BYD’s total sales in that period.
Earlier this month, Fang Cheng Bao, the personalized sub-brand of BYD Co., Ltd., released official images of its latest model, the Bao 3, following the disclosure of core specifications.
Fang Cheng Bao labels the Bao 3 as the production iteration of the Super 3 concept, showcasing the model in nine images on Weibo, featuring three exterior hues: black, white, and green.
