Omni Port removes the need for drivers to carry an adapter and eliminates the need for dedicated parking spots for specific connector types.

The company said Omni Port is the sole public solution addressing North America’s EV connector issues for both AC and DC charging.

It allows drivers of any vehicle make to use the same charging station by integrating the most common connector types into each port.

The company said it is included at no extra charge as a standard feature with ChargePoint’s compatible chargers.

Omni Port will begin shipping by the end of the year, and can be retrofitted onto ChargePoint CP6000 and Express Plus Power Link 2000 models at a nominal cost.
