Mattel Partners With Ferrari For First Hot Wheels Product Line In A Decade

Toy maker Mattel Inc. MAT partnered with Ferrari NV RACE to develop a full range of Hot Wheels products.

What Happened: For the first time in more than a decade, Hot Wheels products will be adorned with the Ferrari’s Prancing Horse logo.

The lineup will feature Ferrari’s road and race cars, combining classics with the latest high-performance models.

The initial set of die-cast cars will be available for pre-order this spring through Mattel Creations, with more releases planned throughout 2025 and beyond.

The complete collection will feature Ferrari models catering to every type of die-cast car enthusiast, from high-end, ultra-premium editions to the Mainline Collection, as well as RC models.

Why It Matters: Hot Wheels has a history of collaborations with Ferrari. The two companies produced 26 models since its founding in 1968. The latest collection aims to build on this legacy, featuring exclusive limited-edition releases and RC models.

Hot Wheels executive vice president Roberto Stanichi called the Ferrari partnership a “passion project” to create “something extra-special for collectors to appreciate.”

“We look forward to seeing the world’s reaction to our vision for some of the most beautiful rolling works of art in automotive history, crafted by our team of design experts that can do it better than anyone else can,” he added.

The new Hot Wheels cars will be sold worldwide, in addition to the classic 1:64 scale die-casts.

Price Action: Mattle shares are trading at $18.46 at last check Monday, up 1.51%.
